Debbie's Tribute Fund

Created by Rosalind 16 years ago
My niece, Debbie's brave fight against the devastating illness, Motor Neurone Disease or ALS, was an inspiration to us all.Debbie was diagnosed with the disease in October 2006, barely 4 years after losing her own mother, Jennifer and her uncle, Terry, to MND. Jennifer , we thought, was a case of sporadic MND, until 2 years later Terry called to say he had the same disease. You can imagine the disbelief.Yet it never ocurred to us that Debbie, a young, vibrant 39 year old, would get MND too. Having had 3 cases of MND in the family means that we cannot forget the devastation of this disease and let down our guard. It also means we have to celebrate each day of life that we have and appreciate every moment and every breath that we take. We must also carry on helping to spread the word of how we can help to raise money to contribute to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which cares for and supports many, like Debbie,Jennifer and Terry, and also contributes to research, which will save lives in the future Please consider making an online donation or, if you prefer ,you can help me raise money for this Tribute Fund by creating an online sponsorship page to mark a special event or occasion. All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via the Debbie Kerr-Milne Tribute Fund when they reach Motor Neurone Disease Association. Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do. If you like, you can also sign the guest book, add pictures, thoughts and stories which make this Tribute Fund a Garden of Remembrance and tell other people about this service. Thanks for your help Rosalind Roystone
